Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Companion Animal Therapy Laser.  The non-invasive laser light waves excite the tissues on the cellular level, releasing vital factors that increase blood flow and help reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation, while accelerating the body’s ability to heal.  Laser can be used for acute injuries such as ligament sprains, arthritis, post-op healing, wounds as well as many other painful/non-painful conditions.

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:  Our clinics are equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.        

Surgical Services:  Our surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures.  Orthopedic procedures, due to advancements in treatment, are typically performed by a traveling, Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon.
  
Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.
    
Digital Radiology Services:  Our on-site, digital X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.  Images can be submitted to a board certified radiologist for further evaluation.

Ultrasound Services: We have access to a traveling ultrasonographer that will obtain ultrasound images.  The images will then be submitted to a board certified radiologist or internist for interpretation.
   
Electrocardiography Services:  We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with a cardiology specialist. Heart ultrasounds can also be performed in our clinic by a traveling cardiologist or by a certified ultrasonographer with images sent to a board certified cardiologist for interpretation.
   
Dentistry:  Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.
   
Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
    
Permanent identification: We offer microchip identification.
    
Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. Individualized Flea Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

After Hours Emergency Care:  If you have an emergency when we are closed, please contact MedVet Cleveland West at (216) 362-6000 or Animal Clinic Northview at (440) 327-8282.  Clients who live in Ottawa or Sandusky counties may wish to contact MedVet Toledo at (419) 473-0328.  These facilities are able to provide overnight critical care and monitoring.
